My name is Murray Hollis. I have extensive experience of converting clients' information into effective documents
for promotions, job applications and other purposes. I have provided these services to well over 1000 clients
across Australia and internationally over about the last seven years. I am located near Canberra, Australia.

As well as writing for individual clients, I have done science writing for general readers, written scientific research
papers, undertaken extensive writing in previous university management roles and written a book,
Practical Straw Bale Building, Land Links Press (CSIRO),2005.

I began my career as a physicist undertaking physics research in Australia and Canada before managing
engineering services in a physics research department and then moving to business and technical management
for the Research School of Physical Sciences and Engineering at the Australian National University.
Also, I completed a Graduate Diploma in Administration. In recent years I have been providing writing services
for a wide variety of clients on a full-time basis.

My interviewing skills are as important as my writing skills, because my first task is to obtain information about
your skills and experience so I can present the information in a manner most likely to get you to the interview stage.
During our interview, I will listen to claims that you make against the selection criteria and evidence to support the
claims. By questioning and guiding you, I will help you to expand on your ideas and find the most relevant
examples from your experience. Our interview can be very useful preparation for your actual job interview.

I have excellent knowledge of grammar and style. I bring my broad general and technical knowledge to the task,
drawing upon my varied professional background in physics, engineering and administration, as well as extensive
writing experience. My clients include: senior management executives, IT personnel, teachers, human relations
officers, real estate agents, scientists and engineers, academics, administrators, etc.
